Another Third Party Candidate--Italy Here We Come

With our national debt spiraling out of control raising our fiscal fears
We are starting to look like on a path toward Greece our leaders seem to steer
The news today on the political front looks like another country were trying to veer
Like Italy we are now beginning to appear
At last count 10 active political parties each garnering votes equal to at least four percent
A lot of coalition building needed to form a government under a large shifting tent
In the U.S. voters are angry and sense the two major parties are contaminated with special interest rot
A perception at least on the Blue side that their nominee has been bought
Libertarians and Greens together are polling 14% of the vote
If this holds or increases the rules of politics may have to be rewrote
Now we learn of another candidate casting his hat into the ring to try to bring the conservative vote into play
It is Evan McMullin, a former counterterrorism officer with the CIA
Seems like he is coming to the dance a wee bit late and the states’ dance cards are pretty much filled
Getting on the ballot in a large number of states still receptive may take a lot of time and a lot of bills
The Greens and Libertarians are peeling more of Hillary’s support away
Trump already behind does not need a conservative voice to enter into the fray
Could we see the return of Ted Cruz or Carly Fiorina as a candidate for Evan’s VP?
Not sure but in this more-the-merrier political year we are beginning to look more like Italy
So Hillary and Trump now are looking at not one but three equivalent but different Ralph Naders
Who to the Blues in 2000 was viewed as the political election costing Darth Vader
