The
good people of Chicago have finally had enough
Of
the epidemic of shootings that too many lives have snuffed
Too
many people of color are shooting too many people of color the same
While
the mayor and CPD seem powerless to the killings and woundings tame
Worse
the mayor on this issue seems to be MIA
As
the tally of shootings and killings increases each day
A
peaceful protest in Chicago against the killings that a major expressway
blocked
Anger
and disappoint over the wave of gun violence that has the nation shocked
Chicago
public unions like teachers have in neighborhoods of color abandoned their charges
Trump
is right “what do you have to lose” as his support among people of color
enlarges
The
mayor is guilty of true racism by sheer neglect
Not
enough police resources to the victims of color deflect
