Will Rogers and Flying Common Sense

Had you visited my blog you would have discovered that today is "Use Your Common Sense Day, a trait our politicians sorely lack. The day is celebrated on the birthday of one of the great humorists of our time Will Rogers. Sadly he was killed  in 1935 near Pt. Barrow, Alaska in a plane piloted by famed aviator Wiley Post which crashed in foul Alaskan winter weather. Taking a brief break from commenting on the political theater, I thought you might enjoy this short poem.
Common Sense
“Wiley the choices in life are too narrow
Why take off in lousy weather near Pt. Barrow?
On your piloting skills Mr. Post no offense
But if we are going to see the morrow, time for some flying common sense.”
