Add
pundits, pollsters and lobbyists to the endangered species list
A poem
to celebrate the win too hard to resist
After
Hillary’s narrow loss
Into
my closet to see what to toss
Waders,
Wellingtons, and hip boots crowding shoes and sandals
But to
my great relief one too many scandals
No
matter how much lobbyists’ cash like monsoon rains
A new
builder in town and the swamp will be drained
Waders,
Wellingtons and hip boots I do not need to retain
On dry
ground shoes and sandals will reign
Obama’s
cherished legacy soon on a terminal wane
While
we mere mortals will be free of the feds’ taxing and regulatory bane
A
border secure, sanctuary cities gone, and real what’s good for America immigration reform
Obstacles
to making America great again quickly and forever shorn
While
seeking to unify and represent us all
And
once again in the eyes of the world stand strong and tall
