Canine Maggie Passes At 30

Shades of Rod Stewart belting out his Maggie hit song

Before thousands of female fans screaming with him they want to belong

Or the idiom that every dog has its day

Especially when a Kelpie in Australia  a canine Maggie longevity displays

After 30 years Maggie with her beloved human friend

Did not wake up from her comfy, doggie bed

So much for in this case the myth that a dog’s life compared to us is 7 to 1

But not the pain of losing a loved canine, no longer able to enjoy her dog run

If the 7 to 1 ratio would be the iron rule

Her owner would be 210 but probably a vegetated fool

Wives and business partners come and go

But to his or her human, eternal loyalty will alwaysbe bestowed

God must be a lover of dogs beyond compare

And with humans and their faults his favorite pets He no longer wants to share
