Time to Desalinize

At last with California’s snowpack at the lowest since records were being kept
Governor Brown takes the first ever mandatory water usage  reductions step
It is always good to water try to conserve
For this California life style we would want to preserve
We know that the weather we can barely predict and much less be able to control
But more supplies of fresh water from this earth we need to cajole
We have miles of coast line lapped by Pacific Ocean waves
Technology to desalinize the waters to create the fresh water we crave
Instead of billions for high speed rail that no one will ride and will break our fiscal vaults
Take those dollars and build plants to separate out from the ocean the salt
Pump the water into the ground wells or into the reservoirs only half full today
Give the farmers and businesses the ability to the effects of this drought allay
With too many people living in essence what is a semi desert in the south
If we do not act, we will end up with a lot of parched and thirsty mouths
