DUI Tragedy At OSU

Homecoming on a college campus is supposed to be a time of great joy

Alums returning, reunion events usually followed by a football game to enjoy

Tailgaters and parties for sure but at 10:30 in the morn most are just arriving and setting up

All with little knowledge that deadly violence would soon erupt

A homecoming parade to the spirit for the coming game lift

I a heart beat like a scene from Animal House a violent shift

A young woman at a high rate of speed off a police motorcycle careened

Plowing into the spectator crowd leaving 3 dead and 34 injured at the scene

Another lesson of why one should never drink and drive

Russian roulette where only the very lucky are left unwounded and come out alive

The 25 year old driver was arrested and charged with DUI

If convicted her life for a some drinks is over, confined for a long time in a prison sty

A car is just as if not more deadly than a semi automatic gun

Arguments from the left on trigger locks maybe mandatory interlocks we should cease to shun
