Dogs may be
a man’s best friend but in Yemen not the case
Al Qaeda
terrorists killed their two hostages before a rescue could take place
The trip
wire was the barking of a dog with an exceptional sense of smell
Once again
we failed in our attempts to rescue and send these jihadists to hell
The funding
success of ISIS in ransom collections may a wave of new kidnappings foretell
Given the
number of Westerners abroad such wave may be difficult to quell
It may be
that one has a better chance of winning the lottery than being the victim of a
kidnap
But no
solace to the victim or to the family if the victim will not be coming back
The policy
of not paying ransom to terrorist groups
May seem
inhumane but necessary to keep more kidnappings from taking root
Perhaps it
is time to consider the concept of an eye for an eye
Track down
the families of the hostage takers so the release of the hostage their lives
will buy
Jordan’s
King was right the war against Jihadist terror is akin to World War III
Where on the
other side the Geneva Convention does not apply and barbarism runs free
At least we
and the Yeminis a rescue tried
Failed sadly
and on a U.S. Navy ship our American died
