Uvalde Officier Who Stood Aside and Created a Perimeter Found Not Guilty by Jury After 9 Hours

After the Uvalde school shooting in Texas that left 19 elementary school children and 2 adults dead
A police officer who waited at the school door while shots were heard inside faced a moment of dread
To charge into the building gun blazing or face an arrest for child endangerment for the wounded of dead
Or face charges for unnecessary use of force and create a perimeter instead
In a moment of multiple gunfire shots he chose the latter
And his career as a police officer was tatters
The jury spent reviewing the charges of child endangerment came with a verdict in 9 hours|
Acquitted on all charges and set free which the parents must have felt soured
Don’t know if he was trained to go to the sound of guns until the shooter as a threat was done
Hard to send a cop into a gunfight knowing his use of force the mayor and police chief might shun
The charges and the verdict prove cops when they draw their gun are on a tight rope
The decision to fire made in seconds puts them on a very slippery slope
