Leaving Pinecrest Ridge as Result Of Insurance and Medicare Budget

Appreciation Poem for Staff At Pelican Ridge

The New Year’s celebrations have come to an end
Along with resolutions that our behavior to the trash can we send
But at Pelican Ridge the staff does not adhere to that trend
Outstanding patient care from meds, rehab, cuisine, diaper changes, to room cleaning never end
Too many staff to accolades to disburse
From the CMA’s to the long hours of supervision by the nurses
Sadly, given Medicare and insurance budgets a patient’s stay here is cut short
Despite Pelican Ridge’s best efforts too soon a patient’s stay is subject to abort
Never a complaint or at the patient pointing a finger of blame
When a patient when being moved suffers pain
A patient quickly hears “I’m so sorry” refrain
This poet has gratitude beyond belief
And leaves here thanking all the staff and in departing feels a lot of grief
I wish all the staff well and to proceed to advance their careers
It has been a real pleasure being here!
