When
it comes to hypocrisy politicians always win
Even
in the days of video and printed word they manage to go into distort spin
A
position taken the near on in the distant past
When
there are donors or votes to be found it will not last
Today
there is a rush like Stalin in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s to air brush rivals from
photos on the stage
After
execution or Gulag disappearance remove them from any history page
The
hue and cry in this PC world is that all Confederate Monuments must from public
places go
And
anyone even a Korean American with a name of Robert Lee must be banished from
UVA’s opening football show
Who
better to piously and vehemently mount
the charge to remove
None
other than rabid ideologue Pelosi when we need unity voices to soothe
Maybe
at 8 years old she has no recollection on that dedication day
Or
more likely 77 her memory of past events is slowly but surely fading away
Among
the statues she is demanding be removed is that of Stonewall Jackson in
Baltimore on display
In
a revisionist world ruled by the PC police she will not allow it to stay
Dedicated
by her father who in 1948 was Baltimore’s mayor
Lofty
words to be treasured that at the end of this poem will share
Christ
once said he who is without sin may cast the first stone
But
the PC police enforcing the moral transgression of today will never allow one
to atone
We
can all agree today that slavery was on this nation and almost all others a
terrible stain
Today
the thought of men and women plucked from their African villages to be put in
chains
Makes
us cringe and wonder how could humans be so cruel
Ignoring
for the fact since the time of Pharoahs, Greeks and Romans, slaves were used as
tools
Lee
abhorred slavery as I suspect Stonewall did but both felt a duty to their state
As
probably the best tactical general Stonewall skills until he died would
demonstrate
If
someone gets so lathered up that with one’s too thin skin he believes a statue
is a shrine
Not
to courage or bravery but to slavery that person needs to pick up the
delusional help hotline
Slave
owners like Washington, Jefferson, and Madison or bigots like Wilson or Ford or
KKK member Hugo Black
Are
sure to face the PC police’s coming and revisionist attacks
The
commander in chief’s decisions to go to war in places like Vietnam, Afghanistan
or Iraq
Are
valid targets for citizens’ fervent and passionate attacks
But
not the soldiers who under orders went into harm’s way
Did
not deserve the outrage war protesters against them displayed
Likewise
the memories of those who live on in statues on the ground
To
tear them down and purge their sacrifices as soldiers under orders is unsound
In
its war on statues the left has lost sight that history cannot be changed--
there is no record over button to press
Only
with knowledge of the past to learn from mistakes and going forward those
mistakes not repeat but suppress

The Perfect Gift, All Recipients to Receive Lasting Lift
“Today, with our nation beset by subversive groups and
propaganda which seeks to destroy our national unity, we can look for
inspiration to the lives of Lee and Jackson to remind us to be resolute and
determined in preserving our sacred institutions. We must remain steadfast in
our determination to preserve freedom, not only for ourselves, but for the
other liberty-loving nations who are striving to preserve their national unity
as free nations…In these days of uncertainty and turmoil, Americans must
emulate Jackson’s example and stand like a stone wall against aggression in any
form that would seek to destroy the liberty of the world.” Thomas D’Alesandro,
Jr.
