American
businesses are waking up to the “Trump barrier”
No
one should doubt his resolve to bring jobs back, just ask Carrier
Carrier
was set to close a plant and move it to Mexico
Ignoring
the state incentives as it prepared to pack up and go
Trump
wins and I suspect a phone call to the parent
And
Carrier would soon its moving desires relent
Its
parent is a defense contractor with billions of defense contracts always at stake
Stick
of defense contracts and carrot from Pence equals moving to Mexico a big
mistake
Trump
is a deal junkie and loves the art of the deal and the walk away
With
Carrier and Ford we have seen that focus displayed
Not
to be outdone another Trump surprise compliments of Masa’s announcement from
Trump Tower
A
pledge to invest $50 billion in the U.S. and to 50,000 jobs creates another
example of the Bully pulpit power
And
a realization that under Trump, the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint would have a
chance
Under
Clinton like Obama no way would that merger beyond square one advance
A
couple of announcements do not a recovery make
But
betting against Trump’s pledge to make America great again is a big mistake
Cutting
taxes and dumping onerous regulations into the trash
Could
mean even from the Madonna’s of the world a lessening of the celebs’ Trump bash
