IOC Affirms Russian Track And Field Ban For Doping

The mantra of the Olympics is Citius, Altius, Fortius—faster, higher and stronger for human feats to excel
Not enhancement drugs that make it higher, or are much stronger or leave the body faster to conceal the drug peas under the moving shells
The Russian track and field team got caught with its paws in the drug enhancement cookie jar
They’re banned from Rio and the rest of the Russian team to compete face a very high bar
The pressure to win a medal in a country like Russia is very intense
If some athletes are doping the pressure on others to not be left behind will pull them off the fence
Steroids to increase performance impose on a body a frightful and deadly toll
Liver damage, infertility, heart attacks are to be expected when to the doping devil selling your soul
The Olympic Flag has five circles of different hues intertwined
Not five needles or pill bottles symbols of how to move faster to the finish line
The Rio Olympics are beset with problems by the score
Zika, polluted venues, ISIS concerns, and economy in near collapse, the Games do not need one more
Kudos to the IOC for the integrity of the Olympics to affirm and defend
Kudos also to a brave whistle blower, Yulia Stepanova, who exposed the doping and whose career may now be at an end
The world should pray that she does not also face Putin’s wrath
Having been caught, a hope that in the future Russia now goes down the anti dumping path
