To Catch A Tiger By The Tail

Catch a tiger by the tail is an act in which reason and good sense no longer prevail

Try to pet a tiger is not any different and is also doomed to fail

News out of the Omaha Zoo points out the wisdom of those words

A 33 year old woman fueled by booze those words she must have never heard

Or if heard decided to ignore

Sneaking in through and unguarded door

To pet Mai an 18 year old Bengal tiger

Fueled by intoxication’s swagger?

To no one’s surprise a bite the tiger would decide

This stupid woman was at least lucky as she could easily have died

Only a wound to her petting hand that a nearby ER could treat

But the booze was still working and she became disruptive and giving the ER doctors heat

The thin blue line responded to put her under arrest

Criminal trespass as opposed to stupidity that her acts would suggest

We all know that drinking and driving do not mix

We now know that drinking and trying to pet a tiger is also pretty sick
