Gun Carry On College Risk?

The battle lines on college campuses  are again being drawn

Not over just free speech but whether campus carry laws in 8 states will not see another dawn

College is supposed to be a place where students go to learn

The mysteries of the books of knowledge and some economic security a chance to earn

Too often it is a gun free zone which the felons and deranged will not obey

And anyone waiting for a first responder not packing heat they will slay

The best defense against a felon or a sick shooter is a law abiding person packing heat

With over 300 million guns and a Second Amendment guns in the wrong hands will be so hard to defeat

No one wants our universities and colleges to become armed camps

But should we the desire of the law abiding to protect life cramp?
