FCC On Party Lines Adopts Net Neutrality

By strict party line vote the FCC bends to lame duck Obama’s will
Sure as the Sun will come up tomorrow look for taxes on your coming bill
The internet has been a success story beyond belief
Unfettered flow of data and expression free from government regulatory grief
Hundreds of pages of regulations most likely by the Blue Commissioners not read
Regulating the internet like a public utility is something we probably learn to dread
We have seen what happens when bureaucracies are given pens and an inexhaustible ink supply

Like in Obamacare, EPA, VA and IRS incompetency runs rampant and accountability withers and dies

Maybe we Americans are truly stupid and in internet usage bliss

The imagined issues calling for regulation we somehow missed

The growth of the internet and ecommerce has been a replication of Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand

Innovation and advance when a regulatory burden we did not have to try to withstand

Net neutrality has a nice euphemistic sound

How can one oppose something neutral--almost like taking the high ground?

But when the reality of increased, oppressive regulations comes to cyber town

And there is heard on YouTube the millennials’ howling outraged cry

Over slower speeds, taxes or higher prices; the millennials should any Blue at election time deny
