Brewer Made a Bonehead Play Avoiding Pitch That Would Have Hit Him Driving In Trying Run

When it comes to sacrifice there is an honored saying—“take a bullet for team”

To accept or put oneself in the way of some misfortune, difficulty, blame, or danger as a means of protecting someone else is what it means

The Secret Service has as one of its creeds

“Take a bullet for the President so he does mortally bleed”

In combat soldiers have often jumped on a nearby landed grenade

A reflex action so fellow soldiers death or serious injury evade

The sacrifice also applies to MLB National League Championship s between the Brewers and the Dodgers of L.A.

In the first game in bottom of the 9th the Brewers had bases loaded with tying run on third and Brice Turang instead not moving to be hit an errant pitch jumped out of the way

On the next pitch he struck out on a pitch outside the strike zone

Giving L.A. the win and if they hold on to their 5-1 lead they will be 2-0 playing at home
