Surfliner South To San Juan

Surfliner South To San Juan
Not the regal sleepers like Coast Starlight hugging the coast
Soft mattresses, Parlor Car and wine tasting to boast
But when a woman is tired and is spent
An unoccupied row is like heaven sent
Time to let the rocking rails turn a row into a bed
Whistle blowing with a destination station ticket over her head
At peace in her rem dreams knowing a conductor will wake her
Scenery going by in an unseen never ending blur
Sleeping on a train is the only commuter cure
Totally sacked out her body barely stirs
Pleasant dreams unknown lady but as we pull into Swallow Land a suggestion for next time
Stop and eat at Trevors at the tracks where the guitar singer is in melodic rhyme
