When it comes to capital cases where the death sentence is
handed down
With a steady stream of appeals the wheels of justice move
very slowly toward an execution countdown
16 years ago a radicalized
Army Major Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood killed 13 and wounded 32
And was convicted and sentenced to death in 2003 and finally
after numerous appeals, his right to further appeals is through
The court denied his last appeal in April of 2025
And the Secretary of War his execution has authorized
And transmitted his finding to the Department of war to be
to Trump sent
If he agrees Hasan will be the first court martialed soldier
to be executed since Jon Bennet was executed by hanging on April 13,1961 for
rape and attempted murder of an 11 year old event
Hasan will be executed by lethal injection as opposed to a
hanging fate
Just like Timothy McVeigh a former soldier convicted of
Oklahoma City Federal Building Bombing had on June 11, 2001 his fatal injection
date
