Since they started the BCS never has an undefeated power conference
winner been excluded from the BCS Final Four
Until Sunday when Florida States’ undefeated record the Selection Committee chose
to ignore
The Seminoles lost their star QB for the season in the 1st
quarter of their Northern Alabama game behind 13 to zip
Despite the QB loss they went on in the 2nd
quarter to go on a 58 unanswered point rip
Clearly the Seminoles were a team not a one man QB rushing
and passing star
Then won their final two games with backup QB’s who passed
over the bar
Undefeated and able to win
Without their superstar a BCS shoo in
Boo Carrigan whose first name matches his verbal accolades
Athletic Director of NCS in ACC with FSU voting on who would
make the BCS grades
Ignored the final 3 wins with other QB’s to claim FSU was a
different team
That and “strength of schedule” meant they couldn’t aspire
to BCS Championship dream
A well dissevered boo and a flight across the ocean the
wrong way
A BCS would mean donor dollars and recruiting slots to keep
FSU more ACC championships to display
A man lost on his path, meriting applause not boos would have
from voting abstained
Whoever wins especially if not Texas will have their trophy stained
