September 13, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

Pennsylvania residents are sleeping better tonight as escaped murderer Cavalcante has been captured with the aid of K-9’s who chased him and bit him as he tried to flee through the Chester County Woods. His sister has been arrested by ICE though not clear if she tried to assist him while he was on the lam.
The Blues who were stalling a child trafficking bill in California’s Senate finally awoke to hear their constituents’ outraged words and passed the bill that makes child trafficking a serious felony crime that mandates prison time.
Mitt Romney who has been accused by many in his party as being a RINO has elected not to run for reelection in 2024 citing the main reason being his age but better yet has urged an even older and way more mentally and physically impaired Biden to do the same and join him in retirement.
On the EV front, a massive deposit of lithium has been discovered near the Oregon Nevada border which many believe will dwarf deposits in Chile and China. Without an ample supply of lithium used in the EV’s the Biden Administration wants us to buy to fight climate change and line China’s pockets, the push to put more EV’s on the road will be slowed to a turtle like crawl.
On the illegal immigration front, the Federal District Court Judge who ruled that the DACA program was unconstitutional which the 5th Circuit upheld but remanded the case to him to review the changes made to the DACA program allayed that finding and he has just ruled that it still with the changes is unconstitutional.
On the invasion of privacy front on an American Airlines flight to Boston a 14 year old female passenger stood up to go to the bathroom in coach and a male flight attendant told her to follow him to use the first class rest room as there was no line but then entered before her to wash his hands before picking up trash and within a minute left so the girl entered to find a red tape on the toilet indicating seat broken and a cell phone on taped to it. She snapped a photo showing the phone and her parents alerted the flight attendants and police met the airplane when it landed. After the plane landed the girl and her parents were escorted off the plane to give statements and then the male attendant was escorted off the plane by police.
On the diversity front the Trustees of the Sunol Glen Unified School District in the East Bay which serves 278 K-8 students voted 2-1 voted to ban all flags other the U.S. and California flags from its school flag poles.
On the strike front, the UAW is preparing to go on strike if their demands for increased wages are not met in the background of CEO and other executives’ pay reaching an astronomical 399 to 1 compared to a company’s median payroll average for its employees.
On the natural disaster front, the death toll in the earthquake in Morocco has climbed to at least 2901 and the injured to 5530. Hurricane Lee, which has been downgraded to a CAT 2 and is now 345 miles southwest of Bermuda, is slowly churning along with best estimates that it will make landfall between Maine and Nova Scotia.

Noted Holidays: Uncle Sam Day: Created on this day in 1989 by President George H.W. Bush to commemorate this iconic image of this nation that traces its usage to a meat supplier Sam Wilson who supplied meat to American soldiers in the War of 1812 and was born on this day in 1766. He stamped “U.S.” on barrels containing his meat which soldiers starting calling the provisions as food from Uncle Sam which Sam Wilson started to use to identify himself.
Word of the Day: The word of the day is “attrite” which means to gradually reduce the strength or effectiveness of someone or something through sustained attack or pressure which the MSM has been trying to do to Trump since the day he came down the escalator to announce his run for presidency in 2015.
Song of the Day: The number 1 song on this day in 1993 was  “Dreamlover” by Mariah Carey on a run of 8 weeks to share number 1 status with 10 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 6 acts achieved  number one status for the first time.  Here is a video recording with lyrics of Mariah Carey performing  “Dreamlover”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqBtS6BIP1E
September 13 Birthdays: “PAC Money Not Welcome”—Ro Khanna, born on this day in 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania of emigrated Hindu Punjabi Indian parents who has served in Congress in California’s 17th District as a Blue since 2017 and unless term limits are imposed will probably remain there for decades. Votes the Biden line 100 % of the times, calling himself a “progressive capitalist” backed by Silicon Valley wealthy entrepreneurs which gives him the luxury of being 1 of 6 House members who refuse PAC money contributions.
