There is an often quoted adage to “be careful for what you
wish for”
That too many leftists pushing to “Defund the Police” have
unwisely chosen to ignore
Living in violent crime ridden cities under felon siege
against a thinning Blue Line
Maybe because much of the violence is color on color
confined
And to the effects upscale leftists are blind
Violent felons in their hoods rarely will you find
But violent crime is like a cancer that will into upscale
areas spread
Carjackings, armed robbery, assaults making dangerous to
outside one’s home tread
If a female alone without conceal and carry gun in her purse
Almost defenseless against the raging violent crime curse
The adage proven against those who the “Defund the Police” chose
to boost
The effects against them not just those of color are coming
home to roost

Was carjacked with her infants in broad daylight outside her
home by 4 youths with guns bared
Tried to fight back and was not shot but suffered head
wounds and a leg broken
Now praising the police response but if 2020 different
demands were spoken
Demanded on Facebook that the MPD must be “dismantled” and
its officers removed from schools
Fortunate to be alive today as she hobbles on crutches she
must feel like a fool
Now she seems to be a crusader to violent
criminals keep off the streets
If more upscale whites suffer her fate the Defund the Police movement will go
down in defeat
