Throughout our history we have endured divisions profound
From free state versus slave in the courts and Congress until at Fort Sumpter
the cannon’s sound
From wets versus dries, to Greenbacks and crosses made of gold
To “manifest destiny” and colonization put on hold
To suffragettes and men only being allowed to vote
From Jim Crow laws for segregation and making voting rights for blacks remote
From those advancing abortion as a woman’s inalienable right
Opposed by those to protect the unborn willing to fight
To the Vietnam War silent majority and 60’s generation who would have to fight
and die
Since the early Shea’s rebellion over whiskey the nation has managed to get by
Now with the nation divided almost on equal lines
And faith in the outcome of elections becoming harder to find
From Marjorie Taylor Greene who has been accused of being off her rocker
She is calling for a divorce of Red States and Blue State which is a major shocker
Coupled with a drastic reduction of the federal government
As the only way to end America last policies that will to the trash bins have
us sent
In the stroke of a pen we would be a parenthesis nation Blue sides with an
inner Red core
Clearly an economic powerhouse and powerful military no more
And to Chinese, Russian and North Korean and Iranian misadventures advances
A reduced nation in size, military and economics to resist
not a chance
We would be better served if Greene
Spent her time on the message how to advance the American Dream
The Confederation was a failure total to a nation protect
And today without an ocean moat all should it reject
Zealots like Greene on one side and AOC on the other is why we seem weak
And why our next president must be a true unifier to the Oval Office seek
