Today
as we react to Mike Elliot’s intoning guns at traffic stops are not needed
We
learn of a example that the mayor’s ideas should not be heeded
In
New York City a 2000 Lincoln Town Car was stopped for running a red light
After saying he had no license with him driver threw chemicals at cop’s face and
sped away to flee from sight
Description radioed in and quickly he was stopped by police once more
No
more chemicals but a Molotov Cocktail thrown at the cops through his open door
Only
idiots blind to the danger a police officer daily faces would call for guns to
be removed from the scene
Sadly today there is not a chance in Hell that every traffic stop will be routine
If
San Antonio had followed Mayor Elliot’s advice and the pickup truck
Would have been stopped by an unarmed traffic safety person who would be out of
luck
Even
with armed with a Taser, he or she would be on the ground dead
One Taser shot would not have carried the day leaving us to ask how many tears Elliot
would shed?
