What the Gregory McMichael in his retirement from the police seemed to have forgot
Breaking in is not a capital offense so a jogging suspect should not be shot
It would be most likely a very safe bet
That if Arbery were white he would be unchased and alive yet
At first glance the racial disregard by the Brunswick police and D.A. stinks
No wonder in black communities fear of the police rises and respect sinks
One hopes the McMichaels receive a fair and just trial
And the previous behavior of all white juries in killings of blacks convictions be in denial
Will have faded into the distant path and justice will be reached
Ere an acquittal due to racism causes riots to the town of Brunswick reach
