May 9, 2023 Ridley's Believe It Or Not

The Reds are going to release a report that supposedly will detail the criminal activity of the Biden family in its overseas dealings and the two questions many are hoping it will cover whether Joe Biden is the “Big Guy” in for 10% and will it cover the collusion of the FBI and DOJ to suppress revelations found in Hunter’s laptop? Devon Archer, Hunter Biden’s longtime friend and co-founder with him of Rosemount Seneca Partners was appealing his 1 year and a day sentence for defrauding an Indian tribe in purchasing $60 million of its bonds and may have been advised that a presidential pardon is off the table. The jury in E. Jean Carroll’s suit against Trump for sexual abuse and defamation has just added more baggage to his candidacy, holding that he was not guilty of rape but guilty of defamation of her by claiming her rape story was false and sexual abuse and awarded her $5 million in damages. On the female transgenders competing in sports front, World Athletics which is a governing body for track and field competition, has banned female transgender Halba Diouf from competing in the 400 meter race in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Lame duck mayor Lori Lightfoot has declared a state of emergency in sanctuary city Chicago over the number of illegals Governor Abbott has bused to her city (has the idea of terminating sanctuary city status ever come to her mind)? On the EPA’s war on businesses front, it has proposed lowering the safe level of Particulate Matter (PM2.5) from a level of 12 micrograms per cubic meter to a level between 9 and 10 micrograms which will put close to $200 billion of manufacturing activity at risk as being relocated overseas. Biden met with House and Senate leaders but is still holding to my way or the highway of not linking an increase in the national debt limit now at over $41 trillion to any reductions in spending. The DOJ has charged Red Representative from New York but as of yet the nature of such charges are not known but they would have to beyond fabricating his accomplishments and backgrounds which politicians to get elected have a proclivity to do (just look at all the lies and embellishments Biden has been guilty of over his career).

Noted Holidays: National Teachers Day: Created by Congress and first celebrated on March 7, 1980 and now on the first Tuesday following the first complete week in May to honor and celebrate the work of teachers in educating our children. The celebrations may be tarnished over Randi Weingarten’s efforts during the pandemic to close down public schools in favor of on line instruction which has been a disaster in elementary schools, the union’s opposition to charter schools and the backlash of teaching CRT and concealing gender transitioning attempts by students from parents.
Word of the Day: the word of the day is “aneuria”  which means lacking nervous energy which sadly describes Biden to a tee and is another reason why he should not run for a second term.
Number 1 Song: The number 1 song on this day in 1993 was “Freak Me” by Silk on a run of 2 weeks to share with 10 other songs achieving number 1 ranking while 6 acts including Silk achieved their first number 1 ranking. Here is a music video of Silk performing “Freak Me”:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry6XUsow4Vg
May 9 Famous Birthdays: Billy Joel was born on this day in 1949 in New York City is a world famous musician whose father was a classical pianist and whose mother had him taking piano lessons starting at age. He started playing at piano bars while in high school which caused him not to graduate with his class as he refused to go to summer school to catch up, uttering “I need a degree to get into Columbia University but not Columbia Records.” He has won 5 Grammys and been nominated many more and is still going strong, writing, touring and recording. Here is a musical video of a very young Billy Joel  lyrics for one his more popular songs: “Piano Man” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxEPV4kolz0.
