Whether it is a fresh Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donut many of
us find eating them is hard to resist
Despite the high amount of sugar and calories that in them
exist
Some 1O billion donuts in the U.S. are consumed each year
While increases in the total number consumed appears
Whether it be glazed, chocolate covered or jelly inside
Munching on a donut while sipping coffee is part of morning
commute to work ride
But there is another donut whose numbers are small but
continuing to grow
Not eaten in a car but turning a car into racing circles in
an intersection to total chaos sow
Squealing tires, loud noises and exhaust fumes
Pedestrians, other cars and bikes in a intersection have run
out of room
Hundreds gather to watch the fast moving donut circles that
have taken over a street
In too many towns overwhelming the police who seem to lack
the will to the dangerous practice defeat
Traffic citations and impounding for a period of time the
donut making cars
Might make a slight dent but harsher penalties needed to the
practice bar
Rather than just impound the donut cars given the potential
danger law enforcement should confiscate
If the donuters hear the approaching sirens and traffic
cameras capture the plates
Unless the car was stolen the police can later be knocking
at the donuter's door
With tow truck and warrant to seize and confiscate so it
will not be doing donuts any more
So far spectators and donators have not been injured or
killed
But only a question of time before we will see additions to
the butcher’s bill
