24 years ago Americans were horrified to learn of 3 hijacked
commercial airplanes crashing into the
Pentagon and the World Trade Center Towers
Which soon collapsed due to the fires and explosions’ power
More passengers and flight crew in the air and first
responders on the ground
Died than the soldiers and sailors at Pearl as Japanese
bombs and torpedoes Battleship Row found
It took us almost 4 bloody years to Japan unconditionally
defeat
But had we not dropped Little Man and Fat Boy it would have
taken upwards of 2 years and a million casualties to achieve that feat
But the war on Jihadist Terrorism is still being waged by us
today
As the Taliban in 12 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces has
established al-Qaeda training camps promoting tickets to Paradise if the warriors
Americans and other infidels slay
Radical Islamic Jihadists can be killed to the last man
But like fireweed the movement is restored in the land
Somehow we need to find a way to stop the ideology’s spread
To inspire in its followers the need for peaceful
coexistence instead
