One Two Punch in the Drug Wars With Passage of the HALT Act Despite 103 Blue No Votes in House and Seizure By USCGC Hamilton of Almost 77,000 lbs. of Illicit Drugs

 

A door against Fentanyl from China to Mexico cartels then to here has been partially closed
Fentanyl and its slightly alter analogues are now banned under the HALT passed by the House 331-104 with 103  Blues voting no
In the Senate the vote was 84-16 with 16 Blues voting no to be on the wrong side of the fence
Signed into law by Trump to remove from quick prosecution any minor chemical altering defense
The bill is great step but should be enhanced to provide for life sentences for trafficking and death sentences if a dealer sells or gives fentanyl to person who then dies
For now the Blues seem incapable of being on the right side of issues and worse the blood on their hands they do not decry
Not to be outdone on Monday the USCGC Hamilton of the coast of Florida made an intercept
Of  61,740 pounds of cocaine and 14,400 pounds of marijuana, the largest seizure of illicit drugs yet
We are in a drug war with China that with drugs seeks to kill large numbers of Americans
And yet Trump has deviated from his hard line on China to allow 600,000 students with ties to the CCP to be sent to universities across this land
