Drone Costs Up Cocaine Seizures Down

In the war on drugs we make extensive use of Predator drones
But another audit shows each year a decreasing number of hours flown
Surprise, surprise the number of pounds of cocaine from drones has really dropped
At $12,000 an hour cost to fly it is an expensive program to the flow of drugs try to stop
Over 450 million to be spent that could go to more than 500 additional Border Patrol
Time for a careful look at the program as it takes its fiscal toll
News is also that in the drone war against ISIS another alarming report
When it comes to more pilots for drones to expand the fight we may come up short
Time to consider a move to redeploy drones into the Middle East
Where with ISIS there is a target rich environment on which the Predators to feast
Whereas as in the case of a Jordanian jet a plane can be with captured weapons be shot down
Pilot captured to risk another beheading video as he floats slowly to the ground
Lose a drone and it becomes only a bunch of burned out parts
No video scenes to wretch a nation’s viewing hearts
